Welcome to the Web site
of the Heritage Society of the WV District United Pentecostal Church International. We are dedicated to discovering, preserving, and publishing our godly, Apostolic heritage, through preservation of historical archives of facts, documents, photos, etc. We are “Securing Our Heritage, Preserving Our History” because remembering God's anointing upon our elders of the past is a vital part of ensuring our future—helping us continue as a district that experiences God's revival and fulfills His will, which is that we Reach WV for our Lord Jesus Christ.

A new book is now available that contains much valuable history of the United Pentecostal Church in West Virginia, as it relates the life stories of two of West Virginia's most well-known Apostolic people: Rev. Billy Cole and Mrs. Shirley Cole. The book is entitled The Life and Ministry of Billy and Shirley Cole. This exciting memoir contains about 90 photographs, and tells of many amazing miracles and wonderful healings that God did along the way, as the Coles followed the Lord's call upon their lives. It is paperback, about 250 pages. This book will inspire faith in your heart. You can purchase it online at www.billycolebook.com

History of WV District UPCI to be Published!

Bro Dan Scott is currently at work on a book documenting the rich history of the West Virginia District of the UPCI. Below is the latest update from him. (Note: He chosen to allow me to design the cover. I am excited about that privilege!)
quote:
Brother Joseph:

Thank you for the pics. I was able to download all that you sent. Now I can complete the page with the current District Board. As I go along, I will make a list of the pictures relating to West Virginia that I need, and we can discuss where I can locate them. As for now, I am merely using place holders to move around until I am satisfied what the design will look like. Thus far I have nearly 80 pages done, or almost done. I am accessing the files in WEC for information, and will return there when I have a list of the pictures they have, and will scan them i.e. officials and scenes of yesteryear. Thus far we are doing well. Tomorrow, or soon thereafter, I will send you a PDF of the cover I have been using. The colors are what I would like, so when you study it, I will pray that God will inspire you for a unique cover design that will shout "West Virginia!" In my opinion, you are the best! Then, my idea (I am not the professional), is to take a portion of the cover design and use it as a watermark for the white pages on the interior.

I have found some fantastic history that even I didn't know existed.

Thank you again,
Dan Scott

Sincerely,
Bro. Doug Joseph
